狂！現金當供品年存千元 祖先連3聖筊全捐了

台灣人逢年過節祭祖的文化根深蒂固，不少人習慣準備大魚大肉或和鮮花水果來供奉祖先，但南投縣埔里鎮王重信、劉秀鑾夫妻檔從8年前開始顛覆傳統，改用「現金」拜祖先，並將錢存進供桌上的存錢筒，歲末年終時再由祖先挑選慈善團體，將存款全數捐助公益。
據《聯合報》報導，過去王重信夫婦逢年過節也遵照傳統祭祀，不過他們的長輩特地交代，拜祖先必須要用素食，因此每次祭祖就會準備各式素食加工品，無奈最後食物多半吃不完而倒掉變廚餘，相當浪費，對此，8年前劉秀鑾突發奇想，希望能以現金代替祭品，「乾脆折現，想吃什麼自己買！」，隨後她向祖先擲筊詢問，幸運的是祖先相當開明，連給3個聖筊，往後供桌就放存錢筒，除了清明、過年等家族祭祖，其餘祭祖的日子都已投入現金取代。
